Another valentine’s day spent alone. Wow that sentence sounds so depressing, like there is something wrong with that. It’s time to start romanticising being single instead of making it seem so sad.
You tell someone your single and they turn their head slightly in pity, “aw I’m sorry to hear that,” like I’ve just told them I have a terminal illness or something. Like being single is some kind of deadly disease and they hope I will get better soon. The older you get the more pressure you feel, especially as you’re watching everybody else’s life seemingly fit together.
It is better to be single than to be with the wrong person. Now let’s say that again because some people need to hear this. It is better to be single than to be with the wrong person! It’s just the plain and simple truth. Because people really be unhappy in their relationship but will never leave just because they are afraid to be alone.
We all know that friend that can never not be in a relationship. When one ends it’s as if they have the next one on speed dial waiting. Maybe you are that friend. How are they finding these people that quickly?
